I’m not sure whether requests are encrypted, but the app itself says that it refreshed from tmr data on the main page. Of course this could just be a lie however.

At the least I can confirm it checks the licence each time you sign in by connecting to the tmr.
Definitely is, just check in every now and then over the week as I’ve gotten in already so it’s definitely working.

samsontoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•How to stop mass shootings in a nutshell by one political party102·1 year agoYou see no point in discussing that when there’s steps that can be taken to control the flow of guns to criminals? And you see no reason to discuss every other mass shooting?
Yes but you can imagine the exact same situation of someone wanting work a different job but due to need in their area they can’t.

Socialism requires production just as much as capitalism, and absolutely requires people to work to their ability.

Why do you insist so much on muddling the definitions of these things? It’s not good for democracy or the judicial process to use terms randomly and without definition.
samsonto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that the judge in the Carroll rape case clarified that Trump did rape Jean CarrollEnglish51·1 year agoPeople say I’m guilty, he’s guilty etc but it’s unlikely to hear “they were found guilty” outside of jurisprudence, and to say that when referring to a judicial trial and then say you meant a lay term when the professional term exists is a bit lax.
I wouldn’t say “WiFi” in place of “internet” while referring to an IT problem for example.
Of course that would be nice, but I feel we are a long long way culturally as a species from disconnecting from the gender binary as a whole. I think so strongly of myself as male, and it seems for many queer people that they think of themselves as transgender within that binary. It’s important while we still think this way to vehemently preserve the right to indentify legally in or outside of the gender binary but I totally appreciate that idea as a long term goal.
Reactionism, people often feel tied to their gender identity. Gender is a social construct but a very well built construct.

I heard it was because everyone was throwing Nazi salutes in public spaces in support of the current liberal candidate but maybe whoever said that was making it the fuck up

How do you think this goes in court. If this is abused it means free millions from the state for your rights being trampled on.
That’s truly the only reason it exists.
