Unironically this is a reason why I came around to appreciate the way marxists.org is designed. That site will load on a tomagotchi, and without pop ups or any other modern web nonsense
Who said this? Quote goes hard
Hell yeah I’m gonna lose weight
There has to be a systemic explanation behind this. Some combo of alienation, desire to “get rich quick” and being pressured under Capitalism to get ahead in anyway possible.
It’s not just cups. It’s funko pops, trading cards, basically any nerd thing that people think are collectible, obsession over “flipping” storage units, etc.
Do people in China have similar crazes? Is there a “tickle me elmo” type stampede that happened in the past?
I wonder how much of that sentiment comes from people shifting left after being staunch Dems for years. It’s hard to completely break away, especially when the new group you are breaking to is considered “fringe” and is much less accepted in mainstream society.
And the national level Democrats failing to pass things during the years they have total control while doing things like makes it harder to trust the local ones.
Like most of the Dems running in my state with the party backing are all getting money from the realtors’ association and the power company…
For a party that claims to care about Democracy its shitty to not even hold a Primary in most states. In my state the only options I get are Genocide Joe and “No Preference”. So guess who isn’t taking the Democratic ballot?
Following this line of thinking… why aren’t we seeing leftists getting elected across the Midwest? Could electoralism be a viable plan in these states?
Damn I have a nice ass
Playing Tetris on my Game Boy in four shades of puke green was the shit
It’s absolutely the majority. It’s everywhere and so encompassing that I really don’t feel like I fit in here. And now I’m depressed 😞
More like “cum gratin” for the fellas
I miss niche phpBB forums
IDK… I hope people don’t take that away from all this.
It’s ok for art to be disgusting or obscene. Art is expression. It doesn’t have to be comfortable.
I don’t want a giant corporation controlling how people can express themselves, even if those expressions aren’t things I personally enjoy.
No not the cute puppers :(
How do we shake out these individualist brainworms? I see variations of this argument ALL the time: “A few people in group X are bad/irresponsible/not-like-me so no one can have the nice thing”
