Why does he not consider vegetable oil to be cooking oil?
Why does he not consider vegetable oil to be cooking oil?
The 1932 election had a communist option, it’s unlikely that there will be one on my ballot.
We’re not going to overthrow fascism in America at the voting booth. I’m not trying to convince anyone to vote for Biden, that’s his job and he’s not doing it very well. I’m also not going to shame anyone for doing something easy like voting in the hopes that it makes them a tiny bit safer.
I would shame someone if they thought that voting democrat is a step towards bringing about positive change or parroted some bullshit about how we can get more concessions from Democrats than Republicans. If voting is the extent of your political engagement, you aren’t opposing fascism.
If Hitler had actually held an election and the only options were him or a Strasser party, I don’t think it would be immoral to vote for the Strassers. But I also don’t think it would be a moral obligation if you had no reason to believe they would stop the Holocaust.
No I’m not, and I apologize, I did not realize what com this was when I commented.
I’ll delete my comment if it’s inappropriate here.
I do think veganism is morally correct. I think like all other environmental changes we need to make at the cost of convenience, it’s something that needs to be forced on the population because personal responsibility isn’t doing the trick.
If they’re both equally evil internationally and mostly equally evil domestically, am I allowed to vote for who is less likely to remove more human rights from women and trans people?
I would never tell anyone that they should vote, I understand people’s reasons for not doing it. Selfishly, I’m going to give myself the best chance of having access to life saving health care until I’m no longer of child bearing age.

That makes sense, and I replied to your original comment instead of reporting it because I think we have the kind of community where people wouldn’t say something offensive intentionally. So not sure if it will get any mod attention to begin with.
I appreciate your responses a lot.
Thanks for the explanation, I had not heard the term Judas goat before. I didn’t realize it was a contiguous expression.
Goats are used a lot in demonic imagery, so I just wasn’t sure if that was a part of it, but assumed since you’re a Hexbear user that it was more likely to be goat = greatest of all time.
I think the term Judas goat is probably one of those terms like hysterical or being gypped that a lot of people don’t realize has a hateful origin because it’s a cultural norm around them. And then it just sounds wild to someone who’s never heard the term and instantly hears the dog whistle.
Could you maybe pick a different comparison that isn’t an antisemitic trope?
I’m assuming good faith and that you’re unaware of how frequently Judas is used as shorthand for evil Jew. And with goat, I don’t know if you’re making a reference to the trope of Jews hiding horns under their kipot or saying he’s the greatest betrayer of all time.
On Real Housewives of Salt Lake City this week, someone accidentally made a pretty good substitution and confused Judas with Brutus. A literal backstabber might be a more apt comparison.
Thanks for explaining that. I was trying to figure out if it was some weird reference to Wicked.
Is there any racist symbology behind the hand being feminine with black nail polish?
This is just not realistic.
Using the median home price is severely underestimating the cost of a decent home in an okay neighborhood.
With these salaries, you can afford a house that needs severe repairs or in either an unsafe or really inconvenient area.
I bought a house in one of these cities in 2017 with slightly more than what they say is the required salary. It was 195k with 4.5%. The school district reassessed the house from the sale, my taxes skyrocketed, and my mortgage increased $600 a month. I ended up selling the house after 3 years to move in my parents with 25k in credit card debt.
Today, that house would cost at least 300k and interest rates are around 8%. I’ve almost tripled my salary since then and my budget is probably max 330k.
Now we know what he did with all of the blackness that was removed from the black people who didn’t vote for him.
One of the downsides of having mandatory military service is that civilians aren’t exactly regular civilians. Even if they’re not serving now, most of the adult population in Israel has served in the army.
I don’t think that excuses sexual violence and executing children, but it definitely makes the context of civilians a lot murkier.
I’m on board with this except instead of reusable glass bottles that need to be transported around, you’re responsible for your own reusable bottle/mug/thermos and you can only get beverages from a soda fountain.
The formation of these countries we have today is condemnable and it’s exactly what Israel is attempting to do, which is why they must be stopped.
I agree, it’s one of the funniest sentences I’ve seen in a while. I wish he hadn’t overshadowed it with a call for genocide, but that’s also what makes it quintessential Reddit.
Ideological nonsense and a sick bloodthirst for the imperial core’s current scapegoat.
Oh I see the leg now, I thought that was a shoulder. Her loose pants give the appearance of a feminine chest.
I come from a not super affectionate family, so maybe I’m reading too much into it, but that thigh grab looks so intimate to me. I’d be really uncomfortable if a family member touched me there.
I’m so disturbed that the one which looks more like a child has her hand on his thigh.
I also cannot understand the anatomy of the one on the left, because it looks like she has a freakishly long neck and is turning it 90 degrees to kiss him. Is there another daughter being hidden by her hair?
I think this is because it’s more expensive and takes longer to build and maintain a desktop website, mobile website, and app.
If you design everything to work on mobile, you can reuse it as the desktop site. You can most likely reuse assets in the app as well.
Also, people are using their phones a lot more frequently than desktop/laptop, so mobile experience gets prioritized.
I was kind of expecting it to be a “carnivore” thing, but didn’t consider the soy boy aspect.
Thought it was like “I only cook with lard, butter, and bacon grease because vegetables are gross”
