The value in gamepass isn’t streaming to console, it’s streaming to phone and to STBs. If I have a PS5 and a fast enough connection to stream games, it doesn’t take that long to download games.
The reason I don’t sub to the higher tier of ps plus is because their is no mobile streaming.
There is some edge use case of trying games before you commit the storage space on your console to them but that isn’t worth $20 a month or whatever the ps plus premium sub is
I think that Project Q is designed to be this missing mobile component
Will Project Q do anything different from Remote Play on your phone? It looks like it’s just a dedicated device that’s basically a bigger screen with built in controls. Will it have cloud?
We don’t know yet. We’ll have more news later this year
Has anyone managed to make a DualSense work with Remote Play on an Android tablet (or phone)?
I can only imagine how much data has to be streamed for a game to work and keep working. No one talks about it but it’ll probably use an enormous amount of energy to stream all of that.
