This is horrific. There’s no excuse for those cops ‘not knowing’ when they can retain someone and when they are allowed to walk on…that’s literally their job. So sad.

If you heard about this happening in North Korea, China, Russia etc you would go “well duh, this is why authoritarian policing is unacceptable”. It is intolerable that we permit this, he was a child and he was gunned down with all the cruelty of a cartel hit squad running home for safety.

Idk what the usa has to do with this. We’ve had an authoritarian policing style since our days as a prison colony. Our old cities are designed without public squares to prevent assembly. It’s… not good.
