I see how to block specific users or entire communities, but not how to hide individual posts. Is this even an option? There are some posts which don’t apply to me, and I don’t want to see anymore, but I don’t want to block the user or community.

Same, I got used to that feature in a third party app I’ve been using and I miss it. It had options to hide up and down voted content.
Not that I’m aware of. However, you could make a feature request here.
