I tried to watch Aquaman (whatever the latest one is), and was reminded that old Jason Mamosa can’t really act.
I actually didn’t mind him in the series See, but it seems like in everything else he totally sucks.
Gave up at the first fight scene.
That bad? Ouph haha. I think he did good in Stargate Atlantis.
Confession time: I’ve literally never watched a single episode of that show
I loved it, but did ride on the back of sg1 which I feel is one of the best long form sci fi shows ever done!
Does it hold up today? I need a new series to get stuck in to. Everything recent seems to… formulaic? It’s always the same “go ahead, I’ll hold them off!” “Nooo we cant leave you” and other such stupid decisions. Or characters constantly asking each other “hey, you ok?” followed by some in-depth analysis of their own psyche because apparently you need to tell the audience whats happening instead of showing it now. No one talks like that ffs.
Atlantis or sg1? Either or, I think they both def hold up but sg1 is still the stronger IMHO, I re watch sg1 every so often, the early season are showing a bit of age, but worth the effort I feel. It also actually decently progresses the main story arcs over the seasons, has fun doing everything but remains serious enough. As for the contrived conversations? hmmmm not to bad I would say all things considered, plus overall it’s basically a cult classic now with some hugely quotable lines are the very least!
Watch both you say? Well, you’re the both! SG-1 and Atlantis are queued for download. That’ll keep Sonarr busy for a while.
Love it!!
I’ve only watched the early stuff from SG-1, and that was when I was a kid so I don’t remember much. Didn’t even know there were spin-offs.
