    It’s also the time when they put cream on before the jam, like you’re supposed too.

      I always did it the Cornish way before finding out that my gran’s family came from Devon, and now I don’t even know what’s real anymore.

        If it’s any consolation I have ancestry on both sides of the Tamar. The only sensible way now is scone, cream, thick layer of jam, more cream, and the other half of the scone.
