    the reason it can’t find wider support is that it is in practice not detrimental to most circumcised peoples’ quality of life. as an issue it finds a home in masculinist grievance politics because it serves as the perfect metaphor for their sense that they have been permanently victimized and unprotected since birth.

      Surveys show that ten percent of adults regret that it was done to them as a kid, and the number is getting bigger as people learn more about it. To me there’s no question: don’t do aesthetic surgery on unconsenting babies.
