Thousands of Brisbane homes lost power in a record-setting power usage event – but not because of lack of supply.

Some Brisbane customers were without power for over 8 hours during record-setting power usage in south-east Queensland.

Queensland Energy Minister Mick de Brenni told Craig & Loretta that the main reason for the power loss was due to overheating – not a lack of supply.
