Reminds me of the Psychlos from Battlefield Earth. Awkwardly walking slowly through every scene they are in because of the boots/stilts that were part of the costume.
Not the person you were talking with, but it definitely didn’t help that Carnival Row halted production for like 3-5 years between seasons, but the ending was pretty satisfying and the series was really cool but sad overall.

My brother and I thought it would be funny to watch but it’s a real slog. It’s biggest issue is how boring it is.
