I’m legitimately kind of scared that the mainstream progressive position will become deriding and harassing kinky or sexual furries to “prove” how normal they are.
I’m seeing the beginning of it when the first thing out of any furry’s mouth when they mention it is “not ALL furries…”, as if having people with a functioning sex drive in your community is a black mark upon it, and we must ostracize and omit those people whenever possible. The overt sexuality is a big part of what’s allowed furry culture to grow so organically based on donations and commissions without being heavily coopted by Capital and going mainstream.
