I’ve been using it on and off for years, but I don’t really know anyone else who has used it. I’m curious what people’s experiences with it are?

Oh that’s interesting. I’ve been thinking about trying to build something that operates at a higher level than workout planning. Something that could tell you the benefit of committing to any activity. For example I think people might be more motivated to get out and run “today” if they knew that their own running history would predict that NOT running on X day would lead to a long-term decline in activity. I wonder if something like that would be more useful to you during those less ambitious periods.
For me, yeah, that would help, but it would need to tell me what it wants me to run as well. Not just that I need to get out there
Ok cool. That seems doable. Part of what I’m thinking about is injury avoidance as much as motivation.
That’s what TrainerRoad does for cyclists. I liked it.
I heard TR added running, but haven’t tried it.
Oh, I’ll have to have a look!
Edit - Ah, so they do running as in they’re aware of your runs and start to build data from them, but they don’t use the predictive/plan generation stuff they do with cycling for runs. And I’m a runner more than a cyclist, so it’s specifically the generative abilities related to running I’m interested in.
Doesn’t the “standard” form, fatigue graph that so many sites, apps center around do that for you? That’s what I look at when my desire flags.
That’s certainly one way to interpret those graphs. I think they can be used for additional insights, too. I’m not proposing to build something that doesn’t exist, but rather something that generates specific, concrete suggestions based on what the individual has done before. Most of the platforms I’ve seen are a bit generic and require the runner to really study the data. My hunch is that there are people who don’t have the time or inclination to induce the insight themselves.
That said, this is just an idea I’m kicking around. I haven’t done anything like a proper market study or competitive analysis or anything. So thank you for that feedback!
