No, they’re Male and Female, the sexes. Gender as a “social construct” is a relatively new thing (since the 80s, and only the last few years have there been more than 2 genders), yet restrooms and public bathrooms have existed long before then.

Do you seriously believe that someone would go to all the trouble of dealing with the bullshit that bigots are delighted to put trans people through just to perv on people in the commode?

You’ve completely missed the point. I, like many others, are against removing the barriers that exist to give biological females their own safe spaces away from biological men. It opens female toilets/gyms/health clinics/rape centres/etc to biological men, the very thing that many of them were made specifically to exclude. The issue isn’t specifically the trans people at all - it’s the fact that to allow them in they’re based on “self ID” you’re allowing anyone in there.
