A new breed of enemy has taken over the world… Sam Hell has come to take it back.
‘Hell’ is the name of the hero of the story. He’s a prisoner of the women who now run the USA after a nuclear/biological war. Results of the war are that mutants have evolved, and the human race is in danger of extinction due to infertility. Hell is given the task of helping in the rescue of a group of fertile women from the harem of the mutant leader (resembling a frog). Hell cannot escape since he has a bomb attached to his private parts which will detonate if he strays more than a few hundred yards from his guard.
What the fuck was going on in the 80s? I feel like everything I read about it is just absolutely insane
Cocaine. Cocaine happened to the 80s.
From what little I can remember of the 80’s:
- As a tiny toddler I remember liking mushrooms. Suddenly we couldn’t eat them anymore (for a while). I later learned that weather brought clouds from Chernobyl to us, where it rained for a week straight after the incident. I imagine this movie is a result of that.
- Loads of synth pop
- Def Leppard
They forget to mention that he is one of the rare men that is fertile. They are going to force him to breed, even with his guard.
“There is a flap.” Hahaha
Gilbert Gottfried when talking about this movie said sometime along the lines of “If it come down to repopulating humanity with Rowdy Rodney Piper we should just pack it up and be done.”
If you want another movie about a guy wandering a wasteland with a bomb on his nuts check out “Prisoners of the Ghostland”
Most specific comment I read today
Amazing, like someone wanted to make a Mad Max ripoff, but started taking hardcore drugs instead.
Exactly, but I imagine they used the phrase “invested the movie budget in research”.
This film is a bona-fide classic! Perfect pitch for a b-movie, genuinely enjoyable as hell.
That trailer hurt my eyes and various parts of my soul.
Anyone know where I can watch this? I tried to torrent it but didn’t get any uploaders.
If you are in the US its on Tubi. I posted the link in the body above.
Ah totally missed that, thanks.
