I taught at an English school in Osaka for a couple of years in my 20s and ended up getting told that in Japanese I sometimes sounded like a little kid because I taught a bunch of kids classes and picked up some language from them. I’m a 6’4 Australian man with a very deep voice.

Beandog is a single word.
I saw Bladerunner as a teenager and it affected me so much I’m now a grown-ass man living in a cyberpunk dystopia. Follow your dreams.

This seems like a super confused take. Are you saying that killing healthcare CEOs shouldn’t be illegal?!
SamuraiBeandog@lemmy.worldto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Last week's assassination of Minnesota's Democrat former House Speaker was the logical sequel to that of the United Healthcare CEOEnglish4·26 days agoC’mon man, sure you can use a specific semantic definition of “political” to make your point, but in the real world politics bleeds into almost everything.
The healthcare system in the US is incredibly political, through direct government policy but also the government’s influence on capitalist systems that drive profit over people.
But also, the people who “cheered” Luigi’s actions are generally seen as left aligned politically, its viewed in the broader context of anti-capitalism. So if right wingers see what they believe to be leftists assassinating capitalists, many of them are going to view it as a political act. It doesn’t matter that you don’t agree with their assessment, and it doesn’t matter what Luigi’s original intent was, if that’s how they see it.

FYI, saying “full stop” out loud doesn’t automatically make a statement true.

They aren’t saying that the motivations are equally valid, they are saying that political violence of any kind will always escalate into further and wider violence.
Wasn’t aware of this, looks interesting.
Bone Tomahawk has some of the most realistic and disturbing torture and violence I’ve ever seen on film. I went into it expecting a hard boiled western but its a straight up horror movie. Excellent film though, very underrated.

I would not trust any piece of government built software with anything remotely important. Which is terrifying.
