I can help out. I’m moderating a few other communities here but they’re all small enough that they don’t require much of my time

Happy to volunteer. Keen to be on Lemmy.world to help encourage the migration from Reddit and I’ve already setup a few communities of my interest.

Communities. Not sure what they’re called for short, ‘coms’ or ‘comms’ doesn’t work and ‘commies’ will turn a lot of folk off.

      Warrens?

I vote for commies. It will be a pleasant surprise to people who would intially be turned off by it, mentions in the media would be minimal, and actual commies will be pissed off when they come in surrounded by lefties. It’s a win/win imo.

I’ll do it if the commitment can be more casual, hopefully more people means less work each

I’ve seen the amount of work instance owners are doing with upgrades etc and that sounds like a job

Never done any modding but have run common-interest groups IRL
