We need to be seriously having the conversation about removing this lethal game of pretend from southern states, not wasting time fighting over whether we should bring it in here.
Bring it in over winter, so I can see some sunlight between leaving home for work and getting home from work 🥲
The problem with that is that it’d be dangerously dark in the morning for people out getting exercise. And you’ve still got the time shift happening, with all the negative health consequences brought on by that.
US trip log, day 4: Arrived in Las Vegas. Definitely a low-light so far. This place is gross. Excessive gaudy opulence all paid for by stealing money from people bad at maths via gambling. Expensive as hell and everything is just about giving someone else money. The hotel is bullshit expensive and reminds me of the innkeeper from Les Miserables - extra for opening windows, touch the mini bar fridge door and you’re automatically stung a 20, try and turn on the TV and it’s nothing but advertising for more bullshit you can spend money on in the hotel.
Looking forward to doing to Grand canyon tour and getting the hell out of here.
