Articles published around the country repeat Intuit’s assertion — sometimes almost word for word — that the upcoming IRS pilot program would hurt Black Americans. A researcher whose work is cited by Intuit says the company is misstating her findings.
You should be more careful spreading misinformation like this. FreeTaxUSA is owned by TaxHawk, and absolutely not any part of Intuit (in fact it’s a direct competitor that is doing great work to kill them). Intuit has managed to buy Credit Karma though, maybe others.
