Every month l download my income expense statement from my wallet app, which l read using my Google Drive PDF Viewer. However, this time no matter which PDF Viewer l use, the result is the same : the file is corrupted or in an unsuitable format.

Can anyone please help me fix this problem ?

Srsly I could suggest some technical ways to investigate what’s wrong, but doing stuff like that is absolutely not your job. If there’s some kind of vendor support available for the wallet app, this is a situation where you’re really supposed to use it.

Hello there… I’m getting in touch with you after 11 days… The vendor support is practically useless… All they say is that the problem appears to be on my end…

        Here’s the app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobikwik_new

Here, they have an option for downloading statement. The statement gets downloaded as PDF, which I view using my Google Drive PDF viewer. But now what’s happening is that l’m unable to trace where it’s getting downloaded. This l need to find out first. My android version is 11.

Not sure what to suggest, maybe try on a different phone? I’m unable to view the play store page that you linked.

The app is called MobiKwik, and it’s linked to the device as it works with the sim card connection. Trying out a new device would mean taking out the sim card, which is not easy.

Are you saying you are able to download a pdf but it is somehow malformed? Did you try converting it to ps (PostScript) and were you able to get anything at all?

What do you mean by untraceable? If I remember you got some kind of file but it didn’t work, right?

Look, a downloaded file ought to be tracked in some folder, right ? Normally it’s the download folder… It could be the DCIM…

But here what’s happening is that immediately after the download is happening, automatically the open option is showing, and l’m being shown 4 options by my device : google drive, Dropbox, Firefox and Adobe scan. But neither of these is opening the file. Firefox says file cannot be found, Dropbox says file is corrupt, google drive says the same, whereas in Adobe scan, the file is totally missing.

Now, it’s supposed to be in the download manager, but even the existence of the corrupt file cannot be traced.

The file is probably corrupt. Reach out to app support if you still can’t open it.

Try in an Adobe app too in case of some obscure standard. If it’s still not opening, then it can’t be opened.
