what like the ones everyone already has in their homes? or are they like the US where the the only work the 1% ever do is keep the regular citizens from being able to afford a home at all so nobody remembers what a regular bathroom is any more?

Plus most of our scary wildlife will keep clear of humans. Bears, mountain lions and armed citizens scare me way more than brown snakes and funnel web spiders.

I’m Victorian, funnel webs are more of a northern problem. Melbourne and Sydney are probably the more tolerant cities but both still have racism and LGBTQ+phobic people. I think mostly angry meth heads looking for anyone they can be mean to.
I’ve seen 2 brown snakes in my life and I went hiking near rocks and water in snake territory to see them. If you do not do this, you’ll likely never see a snake. Spiders are a very low risk and are mostly just annoying. Tbh it’s kangaroos near dusk while driving that are the biggest risk in my neighborhood.
Oh yeah and don’t go swimming in the NT and Queensland unless the water is clear… but otherwise you’re fine.
Well, even though the spiders are mostly harmless, are they big? My gf is a bit arachnophobic.
Oh, and what about hornets/wasps? I‘m scared of those fuckers xd
Some spiders, yes. Others not so much. Really depends and some of the small spiders are worse than the big ones. Tbh centipedes are worse, they’re just nasty. Spiders stay mostly away from humans, the bolder ones just stay in the corners and eat bugs so we kinda like them. I used to catch them in jars and take them back outside.
Wasps are a thing - we’ve got european and paper wasps mostly where I live, but I’ve never been stung in all my years here. If you’re removing a nest, just light some newspaper on fire and wave it near the nest so the wasps smell the smoke. The wasps leave and they dont get angry about the nest being destroyed. I used to clear a couple of nests off my house every year but I’ve moved and don’t have to do it as often here.
