HBS’s BattleTech is actually quite a faithful translation, if you convert some of the numbers to match the tabletop figures. They added a very important mechanic to speed things up though: Evasion dropping everytime you get shot at. It’s one of the factors that make the tabletop game so draggy, with everyone maxing their evasion bonus to at least +3 whenever possible, making for some ridiculous to-hit figures when playing at default pilot stats.
Thank you! Yeah I was just figuring out primers, and it uses Speedpaints. My goal with later mechs, like the Mad Cat, was to make the colors as smooth as possible. But I’m still really new. I have another Atlas I’m going to play with in a few months to see if I can do any better.
Nice mechs, love that Atlas.
