Dr. Westman is one of the most well spoken, thoughtful, and science focused doctors I’m aware of. He does not sugar coat (heh) the known science; it’s always worth while to listen to him

Having multiple metrics is important. The body could be getting healthier in one dimension while seeming to be static in others.

Waist circumference, total weight, arm/leg measurements, and body composition scanners : all good things to monitor if you have access to them.

I’ve often hit a wall in one metric, but improved in others. When I first started my journey to health my weight was stuck for a month while my waist was going down significantly.

Yep. Tape measure tells the best. I started buying high waisted trousers (which are definitely not currently fashionable for men)
