This is the fun thing about American politics since 9/11. Terrorist is a magic word like pedophile. If you can slap that label on someone it lets you do the legal equivalent of what people feel ok doing to pedophiles.

You call someone a terrorist, you can magically revoke citizenship, stick them in a black site, extrajudicially murder them…

    Fun times.

Seems like Mangione was defending himself from a terrorist rather than being one …

Agreed! Killing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF POOR AMERICANS is called BUSINESS but killing a RICH PERSON is TERRORISM!

Well yeah, you’re supposed to sit down, shut up, and take your licks from our dear leaders and billionaires. Be happy they’re willing to give you a minimum wage job where you work 60-70 hours a week for peanuts with the constant threat of firing if you’re not good enough.

Honestly, this may he the thing that finally wakes the MAGAs up. Most people don’t condone the murder, but everyone understands the anger and frustration that led to it. Pundits on the right are trying to spin this away, and it’s just not working. Even Ben Shapiro got roasted in his own comments section for his United Healthcare take. This may be the largest moment of class consciousness I’ve seen in my lifetime.

But we’re ill-prepared to capitalize upon this moment - I’m not seeing any organizing of any kind of uprising, so this unique opportunity is going to slip away before long. We need somebody good at inspiring the masses to take the lead on this ASAP.

I honestly wouldn’t worry about it too much. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from school shootings, it’s that there will always be another person with a gun. Soon, Americans, who have been told that they just had to accept gun violence as a fact of life, will be watching politicians move heaven and earth to protect the ruling class. There will be plenty of opportunities to organize.
