An inquest into the death of Gomeroi man Michael Peachey in 2021 finds he died as a result of a police operation in which he was tasered, pepper sprayed and held face-down after he had stopped struggling.
The inquest also heard Mr Peachey had encounters with police, medical professionals and the local hospital in the days before his death, but no-one recommended a mental health assessment.
So it was overuse of force combined with jaw-dropping negligence. This guy clearly had problems, and all they wanted to do is put him down.
