I don’t think it was hate, just that it had obvious problems. The plot had to be gutted because it was about a global pandemic right as COVID-19 struck. They reshot stuff and reused what they could and that made the pacing and story very uneven.
I liked it in general, but what was left after the rewrite would have been much better condensed into a TV movie.
That and the speech at the end was weirdly out of place. The producers admitted they wrote it in one night over the phone and shoehorned it in at the last second …and it shows.
