Hannah Christina Stead was sentenced on Friday over her alleged involvement in a Brisbane sexual servitude operation, despite the magistrate saying Stead was a victim herself.

On Friday, the court heard Stead, 26, was accused of committing the crimes between May and October 2019, when a co-offender was behind bars.

Am I reading this right? One of the people being exploited basically became the exploiter once the original offender was in jail?

    Seems like she was convicted on a technicality, possibly that by the letter of the law she committed the crime, even if it was done under duress and she didn’t benefit from it.

    It seems the judge recognised this by not recording a conviction against her and no additional jail time. The bond seems unfair though but maybe it’s to provide assurance that she won’t start the prostitution ring again.
