This is the co-defendant who also assaulted an FBI agent. He’s been denied bond, and is still in jail as “a risk to commit additional felonies,” according to Judge Emily Richardson, and will remain there until his bond hearing on the other case with Judge Scott McAfee.

He chest bumped the feds as they served the warrant in this case, getting up in their face and threatening them. It got to the point that one of the pair dropped back to pull his sidearm, at which point he cut his shit out, but a bit late.

None of his co-conspirators were that kind of stupid, so he gets to stay in jail instead of posting bail.

I mean… his co-conspirators were still very, veeeerery stupid for trying to overturn a legitimate U.S. election, but you’re technically correct, as well as the parent poster.

He also doesn’t qualify for a public defender and can’t afford a lawyer. He’s going to have to defend against the biggest RICO case in history pro se.

If he wasn’t such an idiot, I’d almost feel sorry for him.

I’d hope that’s not the case, because that sounds like it would be a mistrial on appeal.

Edit: they don’t need to provide one for a bail hearing I don’t think

If that is the case, then I worry your justice system is broken.

Huh? Isn’t that guaranteed by 6th amendment? How would he lose that right?

all the co-coonspirators are suspect of this crime, which we already know happened, the attempt overthrow the election, so given that he is part of the trump posse and they are guilty, it still doesn’t make sense why they didn’t try and help him out, yet again, it does make sense because trump does throw you under the bus when he’s done using you
