Americans don’t differentiate between a pedophile and a child rapist. There’s also a good chance that the owner of that vehicle has a bunch of CP on his computer.

I’ve had sex with a 14yo before and I also have pictures of naked minors, am I a problem for society? 🤔

am I a problem for society?

          I’ve had sex with a 14yo before

Uh, I think that would heavily depend on how old you were at the time.

I also have pictures of naked minors

I feel that would depend on whether you are related to the minors in question, and whether the pictures are sexual in nature.

Just a heads-up: When those photos are found on your devices by authorities, you can definitely get into legal trouble. The laws around nudes of minors are very fuzzy, and no one dares criticize that.
Most people won’t bother to look at the context before they throw you under the bus.
Even if the pictures are not illegal, by the time a court finds that out, you’ll already have lost your job and friends.

Tbh is it really that difficult to not take nude pictures of children? I sure wish my parents hadn’t.

It’s almost as though a political ideology based on rigid hierarchy and inferior “others”, who should exist to respect and serve their “betters” primes people for dehumanising and horrifically exploiting people, while a political ideology grounded in respect, equality and freedom views children as people rather than sex objects.

The pedocon theory holds water, and I don’t see this lunatic gunning down good friend of Epstein and convicted rapist Donald Trump.

Honestly it seems like the actual amount of pedophiles available to murder massively outstrips the demand of pedophiles to murder, and the end result is that people just expand the definition to the point where it’s becoming meaningless.

Over the past few years, I’ve seen pedophilia used in the following contexts. The list gets more ridiculous as you go down:

    • Middle aged men “dating” adult teenage sex workers
    • Middle aged men “dating” adult sex workers in their early 20s
    • 18 year olds meeting up with 15 year olds they met online
    • A 17 year old discord mod talking with a 14 year old how they’re attracted to each other, but the age difference might make it unethical
    • 18 year olds dating 16 year olds
    • Drag Queens having story hours at the library
    • Men in their early thirties dating women in their early 20s.
    • Men in their mid thirties dating women in their mid to late twenties
    • Queer people in general

It feels like this “kill a pedo” routine is just gonna be used by people to go after regular people by assholes looking for blood.

Anyone arguing to mass-murder a loosely defined group of people, should probably be a reason for pause.

How about we try to help people instead of killing them first?

Yeah, if you’re calling for a group of people to be killed, regardless of what that group is or claims to do, there should probably be some sort of police investigation on you. It could be that you’ve correctly identified a dangerous demographic, but you’re probably just a violent, hateful prick.

Yeah, I have issues with predation on children as all decent people do, but there’s an intense bloodthirst that people like to use pedophiles to justify. And beyond the fact that they keep expanding their targets to non-pedophiles, they also just have a level of blood lust I’m uncomfortable with

Projection or not, that’s just such a weird thing to do. I once met a girl who had a swastika tattoo that was crossed through. I mean i get it, but you still got a swastika tattoo.

Yeah the only way that tattoo isn’t utterly deranged is if you were formerly a nazi who came to latter renounce those beliefs.

Society always needs some group to bogeyman such that animalistic aggression and hatred can be levied against them without any consequence. We say we’re a civilized society, but I dare you to find someone who would be willing to say “I think people who are sexually attracted to children and haven’t offended are not necessarily evil monsters, and they need support” without a crowd throwing rocks at them.

      Which is absolutely sad.

Prison should be a place for rehabilitation, with the goal of returning them to society better than when they entered. But prison, at least in the US, is more a place to lock away and punish undesirables. I’m 100% against the death penalty and would prefer to spend our tax dollars trying to rehabilitate even those we deem “unredeemable,” they’ll be locked up anyway, we might as well give them a realistic shot of becoming positive members of society.

Yeah, US prisons are particularly horrific for an otherwise well-developed country. Some of the Scandinavian countries (Norway?) do prison way better.
