A Brisbane cyclist has been linked to a five-year-long police investigation into 20 scratched cars in Toowong.

Investigators were appealing to the public for information regarding the alleged wilful damage incidents, encouraging any motorists who might have been targeted since 2018 to come forward.

Police released a photo of a cyclist, who they said was regularly in the area, with officers hoping to speak with the man.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact police.

It’s pretty gross that the police care so much about property damage, but refuse to do anything about actually keeping the roads safe. In fact, they’ve been removing comments from people calling them out for their ineptness.

Both Jason’s and Darren’s comments there have been removed.

The article doesn’t say, but were the cars perhaps illegally parked blocking the safe cycle path? Both sides of Sylvan road have no standing periods to account for bicycle commuters.
