I gave up on this and just wing it now. It’s not always perfect, but it’s premade, and I just blame it on the company.

I somehow managed to memorize the instructions for Kraft Mac & Cheese, despite being as horribly ADHD as everyone else in these comments.

      1. Boil 6 cups of water
      2. Add pasta, boil 7-8 minutes (personally I’ve found that 6½ minutes is the sweet spot; any more and the pasta turns mushy)
      3. Drain pasta, return to pot
      4. Mix in 4 tbsp butter (half a stick) and 1/4 cup milk (I skip the milk and add a handful of shredded cheddar instead.)

And then of course you should spice it up with a protein like bacon, tuna, lobster, or surimi. I also like to add half a bag of frozen peas sometimes. Or onions and tomatoes to compliment the meat, then bake in the oven like a casserole. Season with your choice of black pepper, old bay, and/or garlic powder (or all three). Top with breadcrumbs if that’s your thing (personally not a fan).
