When the system they replaced cost $2 for as many trips as you want in a 24-hour period, and even the much-criticised expensive Translink fares cost $4.34 in the worst case for such a distance (and the trip I took specifically would have cost $2.84, had buses been running), and these things cost upwards of $15 for a short 4k trip, it’s an insanely expensive option.
Should have taken a scooter! Fun, and practical.
Also insanely expensive (RIP CityCycle) and most importantly, dangerous and illegal to use while significantly over the limit.
Is it expensive? I’ve only ridden them for fun so don’t actually know what it would cost for a genuine commute.
