We voted for a Logan City mayor just the other day. Early voting via one of the local community centres. I gotta be honest, I didn’t even know we had a mayor nor that there was an election coming up. Googled the candidates on the way to the polling joint, voted for the old bugger who’s self funded and who’s major platform seems to be transparency in council finances (sounds good to me!), then the ex-Labor guy who’s self funded and runs a fridgie company so cant be that bad, then put the ex-Labor bloke who’s backed by various churches last. Sorry dude, religious nutbaggery goes last on every ballot paper.
