I hate to break it to you mate, but do you know whats going to happen to thousands of greyhounds if you outlaw racing them?

Its not a big farm in the country…

We have to keep the dog murder machine going because the only way to stop it would be to murder all the dogs in it!

you get they’re all going to be “euthanised” anyway unless they can be adopted when they’re not profitable. That’s also true if we close the industry.

I dont think racing animals as an industry as a good thing, its pretty horrible. Greyhound owners are wannabe horsey people with less class. Just saying that theres a harsh reality that goes with shutting down an industry like this.

But it’s exactly the same reality if it keeps going. Keeping it running saves nobody, even their prize racers (I’ve got one next to me farting happily right now) are thrown aside when they’ve wrung the last few bucks out of them.

Plus only a minority of the dogs ever even race, most are discarded at 2-3 years old.

You are definitely more informed than most people, Im not in disagreement with you either.

When the last scandal broke about the mass graves of the dogs and everyone wanted the industry banned more than a few people I spoke to hadnt considered what was likely going to happen to the dogs when they banned it… It was kind of funny in a horribly fucked up way watching their face change when they joined the dots.

I guess I have a problem with people calling for bans outlawing things they dont like or disapprove of without really considering the implications more than anything.
