Although I thought this sounded stupid at first, thinking about it a bit more I realised this probably does come into it more than I thought. Where I’m from (Australia) we have decent(ish) consumer protections, so I’ve never really had a retailer try and refuse a return before (although some of them do they and make it tricky, it’s still easily solvable within 20 minutes in like 90% of cases). From the other comments, it seems you guys don’t really seem to have that, and tbh if all the big box stores I currently go to started trying to screw me over with returns, or stuffing around with delivery timeframes, I think that would definitely make me suck it up and deal with Amazon
