Australians have resoundingly rejected a proposal to recognise Aboriginal people in its constitution and establish a body to advise parliament on Indigenous issues.
Saturday’s voice to parliament referendum failed, with the defeat clear shortly after polls closed.
You might not have, but many people in this very topic are throwing around the word racist like there’s no tomorrow.
I disagree. I think it would have empowered all the virtue signallers to sit on their hands smugly for the next hundred years and go “but we gave you a voice already, what more do you want!?”
