I’ve worked in at a smaller startup with a ping pong table and my anecdote is we were all obsessed with ping pong. So their excitement could really be genuine. It’s not always a ruse.

Yeah in the short month-ish I’ve been a part of a few different lemmy instances the level of “political empathy” has taken a nose dive in the past few days IMO. I think that sadly with such a fast migration from reddit the opportunity to form a different culture here is simply drowned out.
Can anyone clarify if this strikes down Biden’s plan in it’s entirety or just the lump s forgiveness? TBH I always considered the rest of the plan that fixes ballooning interest and unaffordable monthly payments the meat of this plan. The 10k is just meh and isn’t really fixing anything long term. Would be really unfortunate if the former got screwed by the latter
I think the influx of people self motivated to leave reddit happened, yes. But there’s a huge chunk still on reddit using apps that will straight up stop working, what then? Your primary interface with the site being gone is an even stronger motivation than leaving in protest.
Anecdotally I’m still using reddit today (albiet less) but once rif dies… Goodbye reddit I guess
I’ll hop in and second this comment. Setting up a server could be a fun learning experience but I don’t recommend you do this with the intention of using this as your ‘production’ lemmy or leaving it open to the internet.
Also playing Druid, lvl 35 at the moment. Haven’t had too many problems myself, certainly challenging and forces you to think about gearing beyond “just use the highest ilvl”. But I’ve also play a lot of Diablo 2/3 so that helps.
I keep hearing optimized is staying in WT1. That said, I’ve found WT2 more fun/challenging and would recommend for the first play-though. Plenty of time to go the “fast” route in future seasons, but that’s just my opinion.
