Any all-you-can-eat policy is going to attract people who abuse it, and storage isn’t cheap so this isn’t really a surprise. Looking at the limits they’re pretty generous for any real use case and people who need more than that should probably just accept that big storage is going to cost money.
That’s amazing that they would consider auto-generated responses to be appropriate in something which is supposed to be reference documentation. We are a good way from that type of querying and explanation being reliable.
This isn’t what it sounds like. If you go through to the original article then the AI usage is for generative AI which you can add to your meetings (eg generating subtitles). It’s an opt-in service and you’re notified on the call if someone enables it. They’re not just collecting your call data.
I use a cheap USB recharageable rear light from Amazon which have worked great and are nice and bright. For the front light those don’t work so well if you need to illuminate the road ahead (rather than just be seen by others). I use a LifeLine pavo 720 lumen light which has been great. I don’t think they sell that particular model any more but something like this is very close.

The best compromise for neutrality and efficiency is to keep gender neutral stalls but also retain an area with urinals which will be much quicker for large numbers of men to pass through then using stalls, and also saves water.
The other consideration would be that the stalls will need to be sufficiently screened that people in them don’t feel overlooked or vulnerable (I’m looking at you USA with your weird gappy stall building!).
That’s true in theory, but less.so in practice. In our area there are no dentists accepting adult NHS patients so unless you’re registered already then your only option is to go private. This seems to be increasingly common and is making dentistry private by the back door.
Indeed - the test seemed to be largely determined by our susceptibility to headline grabbing language rather than by being able to judge the content of the article. People are always going to try to have enticing headlines, but you can only really judge the quality of the information by reading the article itself.
Maybe it’s different on Lemmy, but signing up to the fediverse via kbin couldn’t have been easier. Pretty much the same as signing up for any other web site and the federated servers just show up automatically in the search. Once you’re subscribed local and federated communities look pretty much identical.
This is the bottom line. People will go where the content is. A concerted push to populate the fediverse with good content will give people and incentive to migrate. It will be a gradual process but I’m very confident in building a community here.
I mean honestly, those are probably here already - it’s just the scale which will increase. AI is going to mess up a lot of systems where we judge the quality and length of the language to decide how much we trust / believe something.
This would be mine too - it’s the one series that I’ve actually been back and re-watched multiple times, and I’ve gone back to the books too.

Badly :-) Two golden retrievers create a lot of hair every day and at some point you just learn to live with it. Even if you regularly clean then there will be fur tumbleweeds behind and underneath everything. It really helps having hard flooring through the ground floor of the house (my dogs don’t go upstairs), as that’s easier to keep clean, and regular grooming reduces but certainly doesn’t eliminate the shedding.
People have said that a good vaccuum cleaner helps, which is true, but my last Dyson (pet edition) got so clogged with fur that the motor caught fire! Now using a Henry vaccuum which seems to be working pretty well.
