I really want to disagree with you because conservatives have been pretty consistently anti-taliban for a long time, with the extreme end going mask off racist.

Unfortunately because of how completely fucked Trump is I’ve seen conservatives arguing in favour of relations with the Taliban in the recent shitshow discussions surrounding the exit from Afghanistan.
