Every month or two I make the trek to the local bank to get some $1 coins for the laundry in our apartment complex.
Aside from that, I use Apple Pay for nearly all in-person transactions, PayID for sending money to friends and family, and my credit card online.
I’m approaching 30 and haven’t actively carried cash in over a decade.
I moved into my current role nearly 2 years ago and was hired as remote.
I’ve moved a few times since then, and now live less than 10km from the office (<20 min on my motorbike). I’m still 100% WFH though, with my last visit being a single day in late October last year.
I dread the idea of returning to the daily commute and have kept that as a key criterion when turning down recruiters.
I’ll miss them, though I certainly share in the blame of not buying them enough.

I’m personally not a big fan of those renditions and agree that it will take away from the park area.
But at the same time, I can’t think of a better way of doing this and it desperately needs doing.
