I thought I’d find the new Freo line thing more annoying than it is. Maybe it’s just that I’m lucky, but I find that I rarely have to skip a train that’s leaving Perth because it’s terminating at Claremont (although, come to think of it that can’t really be right, because it’s every second train isn’t it?).
But yeah, express trains were great!
I agree with the others who’ve said that the glues these days are super strong and are quite enough, but I’d also add that it’s good to not introduce any stresses while clamping — make sure the edges meet uniformly along the entire length, with no light showing, and no need for the clamps to force anything into position. A board should be able to be balanced on edge on top of its mate with no cracks and no wobbles, before any glue-up is started.
