Isn’t air travel and large ships far worse for the environment? I don’t mean to derail a conversation, but I suspect that air travel and ocean liners have a significantly bigger impact and I don’t see as much coverage on that issue.

It came that way! The pickup controls are interesting. The middle p90 is reverse wound and independent of the 3-way switch. You can get some interesting tones similar to positions 2 and 4 on a strat.

Yeah, I prefer Twitter. I have a suspicion that Mastodon will only get a chance at relevance if something at Twitter pushes people off the platform. Reddit’s 3rd party API ordeal seems to have boosted Lemmy quite a bit, so it shouldn’t take too much, but maybe I’m too optimistic.
I got back on Lemmy for the first time in 6 months and it’s way more active. I’ll be using it more. I tried Mastodon a while ago, but it didn’t stick. I’ll try again.

Good points, I was unaware of both of those controversies. I honestly expected to have seen something as serious as this pop up in my news feeds, but I generally try to avoid hearing about drama around right-wing propagandists.

I agree that most messaging services are problematic, but Facebook having Messenger is part of the moat that’s keeping FB users on Marketplace. I think offering any non-email messaging solution would be hugely beneficial. I like the Matrix idea quite a bit.
We can talk about both issues, as I think they are both important, but I suspect that the larger issue is being ignored because it threatens establishment interests.
