Other than the happy ending on some cuts providing a different tone for the ending, I don’t think there’s any difference in the story/aesthetics
Yeah, Blade Runner is also amazing at capturing the aesthetic. I watched the final cut version of it, which is the only one that Ridley Scott got complete creative control over. Haven’t watched the other cuts but did check out the monologue voiceovers on youtube that are on some of the other cuts, and I didn’t care for them. The happy ending on some of them also seemed silly. There’s a whole Wikipedia article about the various versions lol.
Haven’t yet watched Blade Runner 2049 yet, but I’ve heard it’s worth watching. Not quite as good as the original, but not much worse.
It’s got a lot of neat features, but I was surprised by the steering most of all. Wish I could get crab mode on my car for parallel parking
Yeah, personally I’d like to see fewer, more substantive posts. There’s not really a lot of comments per article
Rare animated SMBC. Comments over on the blog have an example of one other one too: https://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/2005-09-11
The comments section on the blog felt just like a Lemmy flamewar:
Of course, in practice, the question is more realistic, like “How many Palestinians would you kill for lower egg prices?”
Oh, was Harris not going to kill Palestinians now? How quickly we forget what we were shilling for just yesterday.

Also, the strip on the right was adopted for the name for those spikes:
The best description I’ve seen of hotel art is what happens when you go to the store and say “One Art, please”
In the week of August 8th, 1665 you died from Thrush
They had very aggressive birds back then
Thanks. The good news is that if I’m right, we both win.
Organizing in person for change and being loud about it. Part of that is helping people direct their anger in the right place by pointing out the problem. It’s a lot easier to effect change when you’ve got a critical mass of people that are pissed off and want the same change.
Yeah, definitely. I don’t have any proof, but very much believe that Occupy Wall Street was viewed as an actual threat and identity politics was weaponized against it, as you say.
To be clear, I don’t mean “identity politics is dead” as in “racism is over” or anything like that. I mean it more in the sense of “Stop letting those in power divide us” and “there is no war but class war”.
Keep your eyes on the prize, indeed.
In a FPTP voting system, one party dicking around and fucking up is equivalent to giving you the other option. It’s not fun or cool, but it’s true.
Too lazy to make the meme, but you’re literally personifying the Principal Skinner meme. “Am I out of touch? No, it is the voters who are wrong.”
Hate the game all you want, the DNC still failed at convincing people that Trump was worse than their corporatist bullshit, because people are desperate for change
The answer is simple. It is not easy. The DNC needs to be replaced ground up with people that push for real change. The hard part is pushing out people in positions of power that don’t want to give it up because they benefit from the status quo.
Individual people worked hard for that. DNC leadership worked very hard to move to the right and reject progressive/leftist ideals. They proudly touted their endorsements from the Cheneys FFS.
The people voted for change, which Harris wasn’t offering.
Bonus panel better than the main comic
