Arctic supports it. See [email protected]
One more idea I had, maybe an icon for when the post title and article title don’t match could be displayed next to the title? Like how the baby emoji is displayed next to new users. This could be a feature everyone, even non-mods, would find useful as they’d be able to see who’s messing around with the headlines.
Oh nice, I had totally missed that search in the options!
Would be happy to help you test out any new mod features or provide feedback on them as they come out.
A few ideas as places to get started:
- Community Modlog available in client
- Remove post / comment
- Ban user (with checkbox to remove all posts)
- Community search box (used to check duplicates and certain bad words) (also mod action should be able to be taken from search results)
More advanced options that would be awesome to have and would give features even the web UI is missing:
- Thread nuking (recursive delete) as some threads devolve into totally toxic chat wars and I just want to remove a comment and all under it (the starting point could sometimes be a few replies in and not necessarily a top comment)
- Search lists with regular expressions where I can one button run an advanced search list on a community I moderate with the matches highlighted within the comments or posts returned
- Push notifications for reports
fry@fry.gsto Technology@lemmy.world•Is there a sub to ask for Lemmy support that's not part of the official instance?English2·2 年前No, it won’t work if it’s deployed wrong. Is this a shared host or a VPS service? If it’s a shared host and you’re just clicking a button to deploy a software package, it that host’s job to make that button work right.
fry@fry.gsto Technology@lemmy.world•Is there a sub to ask for Lemmy support that's not part of the official instance?English2·2 年前That sounds like it’s a commercial service. They should have a support option you can ask. It sounds like their deployment scripts are broken. Ansible and Docker are the easiest ways to run Lemmy, I’m guessing these guy’s scripts are just grabbing the docker images and launching them for you.

I’m not a fan of web apps, they’re much slower than native. Arctic is completely free for all features, so that could be a better choice for someone wanting filters and a native experience. It’s still in TestFlight at the moment, link in sidebar for its community.
fry@fry.gsto Technology@lemmy.world•Europe gives Elon Musk 24 hours to respond about Israel-Hamas war misinformation and violence on XEnglish2·2 年前Arctic has separate filters for the post body and post title, which is really nice.
Avelon has keyword filtering and also supports instance blocking.
Both have been great!
Agreed, even the web UI is sorely lacking. A few ideas as places to get started:

Just curious, has it worked for anyone? I’m wondering if there’s a pattern for people it’s not working for… like maybe all the TestFlight users who migrated back to the App Store version?

fry@fry.gsOPto Technology@lemmy.world•As some carmakers run from Apple CarPlay, Porsche embraces itEnglish12·2 年前I seriously wouldn’t buy a car at this point if it didn’t have CarPlay or Android Auto in it. Navigation with Google Maps or Waze is vastly superior to anything a car company is ever going to come up with (props to Apple Maps too for making big improvements in the last several years). Integrated music experiences where I can directly see my Spotify playlists or favorite tracks without touching my phone is just something I’m used to and couldn’t go back. Having a voice assistant that works from Google / Apple (I know Siri is rough sometimes lol) will always be better than any voice controls a car company comes up with. Oh, and huuuge points to Overcast for just reliably being the best podcast app for many years and having a super easy to navigate CarPlay app. I’d lose all of that and more if there was no integration with my phone and we went back to the awful bluetooth pairing that we had before with terrible UI design and no support for third party apps.
At this point, that’s more important to me than whatever engine they’ve stuck in it. Just give me good mileage, pass inspection and last at least 150k miles and we’re good. I’m not drag racing so I don’t need a rocket ship lol
Really been liking Arctic! The app is very fast and the dev is very responsive.
