University of Helsinki mooc.fi course is free, really good, and doesn’t require any prior knowledge to start. Current year’s version uses Python (there is also a Java version), but what I liked the most about it is that it’s essentially an Uni course, and as such it focuses on teaching the programming concepts rather than using a specific language.
That’s a good tip, if I change the scaling from default to small it all fits. I’d rather not do that though, especially considering it looked fine on default yesterday :)
Last book of The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie.
Malcolm in the Middle
It has a similar feel, somehow. Glad it was the first app I picked here as I went through quite a few reddit apps before eventually settling for Infinity.
If you’re into the (primarily sci-fi) story, it’s really good. Bit confusing gameplay-wise in the beginning, but clears up quickly and them becomes confusing story-wise, which actually is kinda the point. I liked it a lot, even the battles which seem to be the part most complained about. I would however suggest picking it up on sale and not paying full price as it’s not exactly replayable.
Persona 5 turned out to be MUCH longer than I expected, and I expected it to be long. My wife kept laughing at me announcing ‘I am going to finish it soon, it’s almost the end’ and then the end didn’t happen. Having said that, I immensely enjoyed it all, great game!
About to finish 13 sentinels & got spiritfarer and both portals in queue.
Had a pretty much seamless transition from Infinity to Jerboa. Well done indeed.
Thanks for the reminder, looking forward to it. If you’d like something similar but in a movie format, Boiling Point is really good.
Kiki is the probably the best children’s movie I’ve ever seen. Not saying it’s not suitable for adults but it’s one that I can imagine watching with my kids over and over again.
James Clavell - Shogun
Turned out really well, thanks for organising!
