my god, i had to literally plan an assault on the goblin camp, took me a few days to accomplish even hahaha. wow, took out leader with just your avatar and a friendly. teach me your ways lol

using a controller with BG3 actually feels really good. you can also adjust the zoom so you are more in a third person view as opposed to isometric (nearly over the shoulder camera). you can also play the game real-time with pause, which may or may not help push you along as you say you don’t necessarily jive with turn-based.

i hope these things help you get into BG3. i personally LOVE isometric view and turn-based tactics but even if these things don’t appeal to you, the game itself is such a breath of fresh air that i do not see myself putting it down for a long, long time.

i think the Home key also sticks the camera to active character. There is also Auto-Rotate Camera in the Accessibility Options for when the camera is focused on active character.

uh well, i dont understand… you are able to self host these services. you can self host a Masto instance, a lemmy instance, and a kbin instance. you aren’t tied to big tech just because a large instance has federated with big tech… so i don’t see how “Mastodon has caved”. i am on mstdn.social and the admin is blocking Meta from the start as Threads is not allowed to operate in the EU at the moment (exception is London, right?)

either self host or find an instance that isn’t federating with big tech. you don’t have to run anywhere.

mentioned in another comment, but Halo Wars is fantastic on the Deck. also, Command and Conquer Remastered plays well with some controller configuration.

it got better toward the end. when the Flood finally arrive. coming off of Fall of Reach, the tone just felt different… i get its the first game but, i don’t know it read very action movie-ish in some sections, lacking depth here and there. i’m more excited to get back to Eric Nylund’s books lol
