Certainly most people could do with some weight training. This is the bare minimum, but training with real weights is also really valuable (Barbells and the like).

6 months of 3 day per week training will leave you with more muscle than the vast majority of people and leave you in good muscular condition for years (even if you stop training afterwards). Even that might be more than most are willing to dedicate to it, but if you’ve been thinking about going to the gym at all then know it’s well worth it. You’ll look and feel better for it :)

  • Recently made the move wholesale from IOS/iPhone Mini/iPad to a Galaxy Fold 4. Wasn’t hard at all tbh, plenty of tools for migration since most stuff is cloud-based. Took maybe a day to settle in. I’m fortunate in that I’m not dependant on icloud and the like though, my password manager is bitwarden, etc.

This is after starting on iPhones about a decade ago in high school. First android was trivial to get used to. I think the “myth” of apple lock-in keeps way more people in the apple ecosystem than lock-in itself.

  • It might have started as mods trying to protest reddit, but reddit has only made the situation look worse for themselves. Objections are smoothed over with frantic last-second assurances that apps that provide accessibility or mod tools will continue to have free API access - It’s hard to take those at face value when they are only provided now, and not while the changes were being announced (and no delays to the api change rollout)

On top of that, reddit’s dishonesty in the AMA didn’t help at all, and the leaked emails really show that the CEO doesn’t view a significant portion of reddit’s users as valuable or meaningful stakeholders. It might have started as one thing, but reddit’s reaction has really turned it into another - they clearly don’t give a shit about their users, so until reddit demonstrates they do protests are likely to continue on many reddits. Their lack of good faith during this whole situation has probably turned off many people who wouldn’t have otherwise cared that much.
