VFX unionization has been suppressed for decades through a consistent level of FUD and a constant race to the bottom-style system that has been fully supported, encouraged and enforced by the big studio clients.
It’s barely even worth linking that “life after pi” docu-short about Rhythm&Hues at this point, as the same thing has happened again and again since then.
It would be nice if this marks some kind of sea change, but I wouldn’t hold my breath just yet.

Right, but wouldn’t that mean Firefox+uBlock would also stop working for YouTube as well?
Genuinely curious, and I intend to switch back in the near future, but I’ve also been using chrome for years now with uBlock and YouTube has remained ad-less to this day. Has something changed recently?

There was my “hanging-out-with-Ravi-Shankar” phase, followed by the “carbohydrate, sequined-jumpsuit, waking-up-in-a-pool-of-your-own-vomit, bloated-purple-dead-on-a-toilet” phase, the “finding Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played a girl bunny” phase, to name just a few.
Can’t say I’d recommend any of them, in retrospect.
