  • One thing I noticed is that Beehaw doesn’t have hashtags. I’m on Pixelfed, but the photos that appear in my feed are based on hashtags I’ve chosen to follow that also have a photo. So I’m unsure how this post will get picked up on Pixelfed without any tags (I didn’t test that I could add #nails to the post and it’d work). But hey! You found me and that’s cool enough. Also thanks, glitter is great :D

  • That’s the neat part, I don’t keep my fretting hand long!

(I’m wearing my plain wedding band as sometimes my eczema acts up)

So yeah I keep my left hand nubbin’ short and my right hand is just claws. I actually can’t fingerpick very well when my right hand does get short, but I admit my playing sounds better when it’s skin on contact with strings. But to me, nails are like arms, how do you live without them?

RE: What music I play, I wish I had a style! I consider myself reasonably eclectic, but I haven’t nailed my style down to a genre. I may like alternative rock like My Chemical Romance, Breaking Benjamin, and Avenged Sevenfold, but that doesn’t mean I like (…or am good at) attempting to play it!

When I started guitar three years ago, the goal was to be a finger style guitarist, but I found I had a lot more fun going to my family’s house for the holidays or friend’s houses and just doing mini karaoke, so it’s really me just strumming and playing (that’s not much of a style, though T_T). I think that because I like strumming and light fingerstyle, I was gonna try to develop a folk style, but then I ran out of time as I’m trying to finally get my degree. Will report if I finally figure out the answer to the question “what music do you play?”.

  • Waaah! Such a good job! Do you do this as a hobby or a trade?

When the planets align, I want a nail pen. I forgot to add that since I’m between jobs/had an iffy work schedule, I went from getting no chip manicures to doing them at home with Dazzle Dry. So long as the top coat hasn’t gotten a weird texture, it’s a good time. I can go a week and a half before things get iffy so long as I’m not going ultra ham on guitar or being real rough in the world with my hands. Before that, I was a solid OPI girlie.
