  • Not many incumbents have survived the post covid landscape, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Given this knowledge I expected labour to go out swinging, and take a chance on a more radical policy platform. Unfortunately, they seem to water down everything to appease everyone and it begins to feel like a status quo platform. Exactly the opposite kind of message for an electorate with an ever diminishing standard of living, desperate to try everything (even siding with far right populist policy) to dig themselves out.

Moderation is an ultra hard problem so yeah its gonna be difficult. Nothing can really be bulletproof in that sense. Most types of controls can get evaded in some way.

That’s not to say that putting up some little hurdles won’t help. It at least solves the problem of automated signups (temporarily) and low effort trolling. If someone runs a coordinated attack i think that’s just going to be very hard to defend against.

Probably i would rate TAFE for just all round knowledge. If you are poor you can do the identity/cyber track of Azure SC-300/200/100 via John Savill on youtube for nothing (except the cost of the exams being $200ish). I wanna stress that this wont guarantee a job but its a step forward.
